Tony Cingrani vs. Michael Wacha

Complete Coverage >

It's a Game 2 rematch as the Cards open up their season with the same matchup we had a week ago. Cingrani got the best of the matchup that day pitching 7 shutout innings and striking out 9. Wacha wasn't bad either, though, shutting down the Reds for 6 2/3 before his bullpen gave up the winning run in the 9th.

The lineup looks similar to that night too, with Billy Hamilton returning after spending the Mets series on the bench. We won't be seeing Tucker Barnhart pinch hitting in this one, though, as he was optioned to Louisville to make room for Devin Mesoraco, who will be on the bench tonight.

Most of the bullpen looks ok, but I'm sure Manny Parra wouldn't mind a day off.

Go Reds!
