Mike Leake v. David Hale

Complete Coverage >

Last night, for lack of a better word, sucked. Between yet another one-run loss and another slew of injuries (some worse than others), the Reds desperately need some good news.

Mike Leake will be the one the Reds will be leaning on tonight, and he's coming off of a shaky but effective outing against the Pirates in his last start. The lineup looks a little banged up, with Brayan Pena taking Devin's place behind the plate and Neftali Soto getting his first career start at 3B for an ailing Todd Frazier.

David Hale makes his 6th career start for the Bravos, and his first against Cincinnati. His last start in New York went well, giving up 2 runs in 6 innings.

Go Reds! They're my favorite always injured team!
