Fresh off two series wins, the Reds head to Atlanta to finish their road trip. If the Cubs were the appetizer and the Pirates were the house salad, the Braves are the main course. They're 14-7 right now and boast the second best record in the NL, behind our divisional cohorts in Milwaukee.
Homer Bailey gets the ball for the Reds tonight, and he'll look to build off of his first good start of the season in Chicago. He threw 6 shutout innings against the Cubs last time out, and owns a 3.55 ERA at Turner Field in 2 career starts there.
The Braves will counter with Ervin Santana, who is having a heck of a season in Atlanta so far. He's given up only 2 runs in his 3 starts so far, and has a 24/4 K/BB ratio. That's pretty good. He's never faced the Reds.
Let's get this one off on the right foot. Go Reds!
