The Reds announced the 2015 promotional schedule on Monday via Reds.com. Like years past, Friday night home games will feature fireworks displays courtesy of Rozzi's - 14 of them in all if you include Game Two. Sundays will again be Family Sundays, with kids giveaways, as well as a bunch kid-friendly performers running around the Reds fan zone. The most important thing, however, is the announcement of the bobble head schedule. This season will feature a record nine (!) bobble head giveaways, all taking place on Saturdays.
Todd Frazier - April 11 vs. Cardinals
Nasty Boys Triple Bobble Head - April 25 vs. Cubs
Johnny Bench (Stars of the Queen City 1 of 3) - May 16 vs. Giants
Billy Hamilton - May 30 vs. Nationals
Barry Larkin (Stars of the Queen City 2 of 3) - June 6 vs. Padres
Brandon Phillips - June 20 vs. Marlins
Devin Mesoraco - August 1 vs. Pirates
TBA (Stars of the Queen City 3 of 3) - September 12 vs. Cardinals
TBA Reds All-Star Player - September 26 vs. Mets
The Nasty Boys triple bobble is obviously the highlight of the year, which you can procure via a Pick 6 season ticket plan. This is the first year Devin Mesoraco will have his own bobble head, but we can probably guess what it will look like. I'd be willing to wager that the final "Star of the Queen City" is Pete Rose, but it'd be pretty cool if it was someone a little more obscure like Ernie Lombardi or Mario Soto. If my math is correct, this is the first year since 2008 that there is no Joey Votto bobble head. Read into that what you will.
Single-game tickets go on sale February 28th.
