Opening Day Countdown: Quintessential Red #66

Frank Victores-US PRESSWIRE

Only two players here today, but our first current player! We're that much closer!

2. Phil Norton (0.4 WAR)

Another day, another guy from that massive '03 team. Norton changed his number in 2004, but should have kept it. He had a 2.45 ERA in 14.2 innings with that number, which was much better than his other campaign.

1. Logan Ondrusek (1.5 WAR)

Who else? Despite his 2013 being his worst season so far in the big leagues, Logan is still far and away the best #66 the Reds ever had. He still has a year left as a Red, and will be extremely useful if he pitches like he did before he got his 2-year deal. Logan Ondrusek isn't someone who gets thought of very often, so with 66 days left until Opening Day, today we celebrate the contributions of Ondrusek. Here's to 2014 being more Ondrusexy than Ondrusucky.
