Reds at Astros, Game 3: Preview/Prediction Thread

Thomas Campbell-USA TODAY Sports

Current Series

Reds lead the series 2-0

Mon 09/16 WP: Johnny Cueto (5 - 2)
LP: Erik Bedard (4 - 11)
6 - 1 win
Tue 09/17 WP: Mike Leake (14 - 6)
LP: Jordan Lyles (7 - 8)
10 - 0 win

Get them brooms out. Reds have a huge opportunity to do what they need to do and sweep the series. It's especially important with the Cardinals standing their ground and (gulp) the Nats approaching. Let's not worry about those teams, let's worry about winning our games, and that continues tonight.

The Reds have Greg Reynolds going to the mound, who threw 8 innings in Colorado last time we saw him. I'd rather see him in this spot instead of this weekend against the Pirates, that's for sure. Thanks to Mike Leake, the bullpen is pretty rested, so let's get this done.

They'll face Brad Peacock, who has an ERA over 5. The Reds tend to struggle against young pitchers they've never seen, so hopefully Jacoby did his job and will have the hitters prepared for this one.

Go Reds.
