Broxy is headed back to the DL with what the team is calling a "flexor mass strain". The likelihood that he'll make it back this year seems pretty slim. Pretty discouraging from a Reds fan perspective, as he was looking great since he got off of his last DL stint.
Replacing Broxton in the bullpen will be Nick Christiani, who'll be making his big league debut when he pitches. He's pitched 47 times for the Bats this year at a 4.05 ERA. This is his third year in Louisville, so we're rapidly approaching "make or break" territory for the 26-year-old.
