Pensacola found themselves on the right side of a shutout, beating the BayBears 2-0. Carlos Contreras made his 3rd start for the Wahoos, allowing only 1 hit in 6 innings, striking out 1 and walking 2. Devin "the Dude" Lohman went 3-5 with a double, Yorman was 1-2 with 2 (!) walks, and Moose Mattair honked an 8th inning solo Bullwinkle. Dayton lost a 4-1 snoozer to Bowling Green. Phil Ervin went 0-2, but managed 2 walks, and Uncle Jesse ripped 2 singles on a 2-4 night. Drew Cisco got the hook after 5 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits and 2 walks, while striking out 4. Werleen Taveras came on in the 6th, his first appearance after being called up from Billings, and recorded all 3 outs via the strikeout.
