Reds at Cubs, Game 3: Preview/Prediction Thread

David Banks

The Reds have a chance to sweep the series today, and are beginning to gain some ground on the teams ahead of them. Today is crucial, with the Buccos and Cards beating up on each other, that the Reds get one more game before heading to Milwaukee.

Bronson Arroyo is the pitcher the Reds will rely on today, who was great his last time out against SD and shut the Cubs down last time he had to do that, too. His ERA is about a run worse on the road this year, but he's been surprisingly good in day games, so the run he gains there should cancel it out, right?

They'll go up against Chris Rusin, who's making his 6th start of the year. Rusin has been surprisingly good, and we're catching him at a bad time, as he just threw 6 shutout innings against the Cardinals in St. Louis in his last start.

Chapman could use a rest, so let's win by a lot today.

Go Reds! They're my favorite team!
