Farmers Only: My Heart is Gone. Jose Ortiz Has Stolen it.

The Bats had the day off. Derrick Robinson makes his triumphant return to the Louisville clubhouse tomorrow in Pawtucket at 7:05. No starter announced as of press time.

Pensacola was off as well. John Moscot (1-0, 6.30 ERA) will take on the Mississippi Braves at 7. Some of the actors from that duck hunting show will be at the ballpark, or something.

Bakersfield tanned the Visalia Rawhide, winning 8-3. Fabian Williamson (7 IP, 3 ER, 3 H, 4 K, 2 BB) had a solid start, with a 3-run wanger in the 5th his only blemish through a 7 innings. There weren't any real standouts on offense, with every starter except Juan Silva reaching base at least once, though he did drive in a run on a sac fly. Up Next: James Allen (8-9, 5.11 ERA) toes the rubber against Visalia at 10:15.

Dayton fell to Fort Wayne 8-5. Ol' Sal was driving a clunker today, allowing 6 runs (5 earned) on 10 hits in 3.2 innings, striking out 3 and walking 1. Seth Mejias-Brean got on base 4 times, banging out 2 doubles and walking twice, while Sammy Diaz drove in a pair of runs on a 3-6 night. Did I just hear you ask for a fun fact about Sammy Diaz? Well you're in luck, because I have one right here in my notebook of Reds minor league fun facts - Sammy Diaz has walked (27) more times than he's struck out this year (26). Pretty fun, huh? Up Next: OFF DAY! The Dragons will host the Great Lakes Loons Wednesday at 7. BK and I will be in attendance, so they had better be all RAHR RAHR.

Billings bested the Brewers, beating the Helena nine 4-2. So as not to bury the lede any further... Holy Jose Ortiz, you guys! Lil' Papi bashed his 7th banger in 31 games and hit a double, going 2-4, and improving upon the .913 OPS he carried into the game. I haven't seen him play defense, but pre-draft scounting reports had him solid behind the plate, and Thundering Turtle liked the pick. I think I'm in love. Up Next: Ben Lively (0-3, 1.00 ERA) looks for some run support, as the 'Stangs take on the Chukars at 9:15.

The AZL Reds are, according to MiLB.com, still playing the AZL Angels. But it has said that we're in the top of the 10th inning for about a half an hour now, and it's neariing 2 am in Cincinnati. Ain't nobody got time for that. I doubt anything exciting will happen, but if it does, we'll let you know tomorrow. Or you can read the boxscore yourself. Whatever.
