Reds at Cubs, Game 1: Preview/Prediction Thread

What a way to end the homestand... a hard fought victory in extra innings to take the series. Too bad the bullpen is shot and there isn't an off day until the end of the month.

However, there is hope in the return of Ryan Ludwick to the lineup. Derrick Robinson sent down to make room, and while D-Rob did an admirable job, he's the odd man out here. Ludwick looks to be put straight back into the spot that he occupied before his shoulder injury, and could provide a much-needed spark for the offense.

They'll open this series with Mat Latos on the hill, who is pitching well. It'll be a lot to ask of Latos tonight, as he'll need to get some innings in to save this spent bullpen. Travis Wood takes the hill for the Cubs, who has one good start and one bad start against the Reds this year.

Go Reds! They're my favorite team!
