Louisville beat the Red Wings 4-2 on the heels of one of Daniel Corcino's best starts of the year. He hurled a season high 7.1 innings of two-run ball, striking out 4 and walking none (!!!). Lurch got the save, striking out one in a perfect 9th inning. Cool Papa Billy went 1-4 with a single and his 48th theft of the year. Jason "He's Still Here" Donald went 2-3 with a triple and drove in a run. Up Next: Armando Galaraga (5-5, 3.05 ERA) takes on the Charlotte Knights at 7:05 PM ET.
Pensacola won 3-2 in walkoff fashion over the now Janishless Mississippi Braves. The Wahoos trailed 2-1 heading into the bottom of the 9th, when Devin Lohman (1-3, 1 BB) and Yorman Rodriguez (1-4, 1 K) hit back to back one-out singles and pinch hitter Theo "Huxta" Bowe brought them in on a triple to secure the victory. Chad Rogers made his first start since June 2nd after being activated from the DL with a non-shark related injury, and it was a good one. He threw 4 innings of 2-hit, 1-run ball, striking out 6 and walking one. Up Next: Tim Crabbe (3-6, 3.36 ERA) faces the Jr. Barves at 7 PM ET.
Bakersfield lost to the Lancaster JetHawks 6-3 (ed. note: What the hell is a JetHawk?). Carlos "Quite" Contreras struck out 8 and walked 3 in 6 innings, allowing 4 runs (3 earned), but Jake "Sensitive Bro" Johnson coughed up 2 in 2 innings on 3 hits and 2 walks, with 3 K. David Vidal led the offense, going 2-3 with a double, a dong, and a walk. Up Next: Recently signed Shane Dyer (2-0, 1.37 ERA) squares off against the JetHawks at 10:45 PM ET.
Dayton drubbed the Lansing Lugnuts, winning 7-3. Drew Cisco was solid, if less than spectacular, allowing 3 runs (2 earned) on 6 hits and a walk with 3 K. Lots of offense in this one, as every Dragon had a multi-hit game, with the exception of Jesse Winker, Jeff Gelalich and Tanner Rahier. Joe Hudson went 3-3 with a double, an RBI, and 2 runs scored. Up Next: Nick Naughty (1-2, 6.75 ERA) faces off against the Lugnuts at 7 PM ET.
Billings blanked the Missoula Osprey 7-0. Ben Lively had a very solid start to his professional career, striking out 6 in 3 innings, allowing only one hit and one walk. Recently demoted Carlos Sanchez went 2-5 with a 3-run johnson, and Roberto Ramirez went 2-4 with a double. Phillip Ervin had the night off. Up Next: Amir "Baseball is way Cooler than Basketball" Garrett (1-0, 0.00 ERA) gets the start tonight in Missoula at 9:05 PM ET.
