Louisville beat the Durham Bulls 5-2 in the organization's only minor league game on Tuesday. Neftali Soto led the charge for the Bats, going 3-4 with a dinger and two ribeyes. It was a rough day at the office for Billy Hamilton, who got the hat trick, striking out 3 times, on an 0-5 night. Yohan Pino made his 3rd start of the year, going 6.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits, 2 walks, with 4 strikeouts. Zach Duke tallied a 7-out save, keeping the Bulls off the basepaths, and fanning 3 batters in the process. Up Next: Daniel Corcino (3-9, 4.79 ERA) looks to build on his last start, as the Bats take on the Bulls at 7:05 PM ET.
Pensacola was idle. They begin the second half of their season tonight at 8:05 PM ET. Tim Crabbe (2-6, 3.52 ERA) takes the hill for the Wahoos.
Bakersfield was off, as the California League got pummeled 12-2 by the Carolina League in their cross country All Star Game. They start back up tomorrow night.
Dayton is on break as well, and as Cy mentioned in the Reposter, Jesse Winker won the Midwest League Home Run Derby. He must have been all tuckered out from that, as he went 0-4 with 2 strikeouts in a 6-5 East Division victory. Zach Vincej went 1-2 with an RBI, while Sal Romano (1 IP, 2 H, 1 K, 1 BB), Ben Klimesh (0.1 IP, 1BB) and Alejandro Chacin (0.1 IP, 1 K) all made relief appearances.
