Last night was a nail-biter but ended the best possible way. Jay Bruce walk-off home runs are the best. We'll enjoy a better pitching matchup today, Homer Bailey takes on Yovani Gallardo. Bailey was great in his last two starts, including 8 solid innings against the Cubs his last time out. Historically, he's actually struggled against the Brew Crew, with a 5.81 career ERA.

Similarly, Gallardo was pretty great his last time out too. He shut out the Marlins for 8 innings, but this team he's facing today ain't the Marlins. He only pitched 4 innings last time he was here in May, and gets knocked around to the tune of a 4.81 ERA against the Reds historically.

We're expecting both Joey Votto and Ryan Braun back in the lineup today, so the bats should get a little more work. Bronson put in work last night, so the bullpen is okay, especially with Villarreal in there now. Let's go Reds!
