It's Friday, so that means another week in JPEGs has passed us by. Since we last documented the interesting events of the Reds' season in JPEG form, they lost two of three to the division-leading Cardinals and walloped the crummy Cubs in three of four.
Last week's JPEG o' the week was titled, "Zack Cozart Motors a Triple." Despite the many factual and conceptual errors, 69% of you voted it your favorite.
This week's submissions are as follows. Don't forget to vote for your favorite!
Yadier Molina is a Toilet
Everyone knows that Yadi Molina is actually a toilet. In last Friday's game, Molina singled in the top of the ninth inning. With the Cardinals leading 9-2, he took his lead off first base and made Joey Votto uncomfortable.
Fog Obscures Wrigley
The first game of this week's four-game set between the Reds and Cubs was upstaged by a dense fog that settled in over Wrigley. The center-field camera had a very difficult time seeing through it, and viewers at home were left to use their imaginations.
I think this is supposed to be Homer Bailey and David DeJesus, but I really don't know.
Aroldis Chapman is Forgotten
In Thursday afternoon's 14-inning marathon, both teams stretched their pitching staffs to the breaking point. Curtis Parch threw four heroic innings for the good guys, but it was not enough. The Cubs plated the winning run in the 14th off of an admittedly ailing Jonathan Broxton. Broxton was originally unavailable to pitch due to a sore arm, but with every other bullpen arm already used up, Dusty had no choice.
