Okay, now we can say that we're going for the sweep in this one. And if the Cubs want to avoid it, they need to beat our best pitcher at the moment in Mat Latos. Mat has had quality starts in his last 3 in a row, including the team's only win against the Cardinals in the last series. Last time he faced the Cubs (and Samardzija), he pitched 7 shutout innings.

Fortunately for the Cubs, they have their best pitcher on the mound for this one too. Jeff Samardzija got knocked around by the Pirates his last time out (and got no run support), but struck out 11 D-Backs and shut out the Sox in his two previous to that. In the April meeting between these two, Samardzija only gave up 1 run but that was enough for the Reds and Latos.

The Reds are also going for their 13th straight win at Wrigley Field, which is some kind of record or something. Go Reds.
