Last night was about as much as you can ask for. Tony Cingrani pitched well, the offense teed off of noted jackass Matt Garza, and the Reds won by double digits. Weather might affect this one, but the teams will try to get it in anyway. Remember, it's a 4 game series, so the series isn't won yet.

The Reds will go with Mike Leake, who only went 5 innings in his last start. The last time he went less than 6 was his last outing against the Cubs. His ERA at Wrigley Field is stunningly exactly the same as it is at GABP, but he does tend to perform a bit better against the Cubs.

They'll face Travis Wood, who has quality starts in his last two outings (and in all but one of his starts this year). Last time he faced the Reds (and Mike Leake), he gave up 2 runs in 6 1/3 innings. You may also recall that as being the game where both starters gave up 2 runs and nobody scored until the 13th, where the Cubs put a 2-spot up in the top of the inning only to be eclipsed by the Reds' 3 runs in the bottom of the inning. Let's hope this one isn't as nervy.

Thanks to another good night by the starter, the bullpen feels pretty good.

Go Reds!
