What a game that was. I'm still kind of in awe that the team was able to pull that out, honestly, but this is why it pays to stay optimistic. There were plenty of instances last year that made you look back and say "this team is something special", but last night was the first time this season I've thought that about this year's team. Maybe the 2nd, after that win over the Cubs in extras. Hopefully there'll be manny more of these to come.
Business Day Special today, so head up to the ballpark if you're able to and give these guys a round of applause. Going for our Reds today will be Mike Leake, who has had the Braves' number throughout his career. He's got a 1.35 ERA in 3 starts, which is his lowest against any team where he has that many. He's coming off of two rough outings on the road trip, so getting him back home should allow him to relax and get back on track.
They'll face another Mike in Mike Minor, who gave up 4 runs in 6 innings in his only career start against the Reds. He's been solid all year for them, and is coming off of an outing where he gave up 3 runs in 7.
