Louisville saw the offense come to life last night, as they whooped up on Lehigh Valley 9-5. Kris Negron took a trip to rake city, going 2-4 with a double, and a grand slam. Felix Perez was pretty bosstastic as well. He went 2-3 with two doubles, a walk and drove in 3 runs. Chad Reineke was not sharp, giving up 5 runs in 4.1 innings on 7 hits with 2 wangerdoodles. But the bullpen kept the Iron Pigs off the scoreboard, thanks in large part to Jose Arredondo, who struck out 5 in 3 scoreless innings with no walks. Billy Hamilton had the night off. Up Next: Armando Gallaraga and the Bats head to Buffalo to take on the Bisons at 7:05 PM ET.
Pensacola had the day off. You can catch up on how the Wahoos fared in the month of April, courtesy of our friends at Hook Line and Sinker. Up Next: The Montgomery Biscuits head to Pensacola for the start of a five game series. Chad Rogers gets the start.
Bakersfield overcame a 4 run 1st inning deficit to beat San Jose 8-5. Jake "Lame Singer-Songwriter" Johnson got the start, and gave up all 5 of the Giants' runs in 6 innings pitched. The Blaze knocked 5 doubles and Juan "High Ho" Silviero pounded a solo Tonto. Up Next: Tanner Robles and his 10+ ERA face off against the Giants at 10 PM ET.
Dayton got blanked by Burlington 4-0. It was a pretty ugly game all around, as the Dragons only managed 2 hits, and Sal Romano was pulled after one inning after taking a liner off the ankle. Ouch. Up Next: Bob Steves gets the start tonight against the Clinton LumberKings at 7:30 PM ET.
