Night baseball: it's real, and it's fantastic.
The Reds play under the lights for the first time this season, and Mat Latos will take the hill against C.J. Wilson and the Los Angeles, California Angels of Anaheim, California, a suburb of Los Angeles, California. The good guys will be looking to move past the disappointment of losing their season opener two days ago, and will also be looking to move on from Ryan Ludwick's potentially season-ending injury.
Chris Heisey will get the first crack at the LF job beginning today, and Derrick Robinson has been brought up from AAA Louisville to take Ludwick's spot on the 25 man roster (Ludwick has been placed on the 15 day DL, though early reports suggest his return won't be for 13 to 14 weeks). Here's to hoping that he, along with the rest of the bunch, improve upon their 3 for 42 performance at the plate.
The Red Reporter crew will be out in full force at GABP this evening. If you see a Laotian flag, a group of 8 dudes with beards/mustaches waiting in line for craft beer, or see the Pope, odds are it's them...and by all means, feel free to pinch them on the butt and say hello. My suggestion? Buy your beers early, folks. After the RR's get revved up, they'll likely drain the kegs quickly.
Go Reds! They're my favorite team!
