Well, last night's game kind of sucked. At least we got it out of our system a bit, and can focus on the task at hand. Namely, winning the series. There's only so much you can do when Gio Gonzalez is dealing like he was, and Badroyo reared his ugly head on the road as he tends to do once or twice a year.
Tonight's game features two young-ish pitchers in Homer Bailey and Jordan Zimmermann. Bailey was my pick for the first installment of "The Rotation" on the mothership as someone whose start to their career fooled us, and glowed about his progress since 2011. Of course, that (and mentioning his 3 quality starts so far) probably jinxed him, so hopefully it won't be too out of control.
He'll face Jordan Zimmermann, that of a career 1.88 ERA against the Reds in 4 starts. He's also been pretty solid so far this season, so it should be a pretty good matchup.
Luckily for the bullpen, Bronson got a few innings in despite his blowup. I think Ondrusek is probably the only guy in the pen who really needs a day off.
Go Reds! They're my favorite team!
