Louisville had their game against the Clippers postponed due to rain. Greg Reynolds is scheduled to start against the Clippers at 11:35 AM ET. Morning baseball, WOOO!
Pensacola beat Jacksonville 6-3. Josh Smith took the hill for the Wahoos, throwing 5 innings of 6 hit ball, with 4 strikeouts and 2 walks. Lee "Raw" Hyde gave up the only other run for Pensacola, as he went 1.2 innings before Curtis Partch came in and struck out the last batter in the top of the 9th. The Knockwurst went 1-3, and honked his 4th wanger of the year in the 1st inning. Despite hitting around the Mendoza line like most of the Wahoos, Lutz is showing good power, slugging .579 so far this year. Everyone's favorite ginger, Bryson Smith, had a 2-4 night with a double and 2 RBI. Up Next: Pensacola takes on the Suns at 8 PM ET. Tim "Hermit" Crabbe gets the start.
Bakersfield lost for the 11th time in 13 games, falling 7-2 to the Inland Empire 66'ers. Jon Moscot got knocked around, surrendering 6 runs on 9 hits in 4.1 innings. Yorman unfortunately turned in a vintage performance, going 0-4 with a hat trick. Joe Terry had a good night, as he went 3-5 with a double and 2 RBI. His full name is Josef Mikal Terry, which is pretty awesome. Up Next: TBD toes the rubber at 7:15 Weezt Coast Time.
Dayton got smoked as well, losing 10-4 to the Lake County Captains. There must have been a bad case of hitslikeshititis going around in minor league camp, because (as 'Mibby pointed out yesterday) no one in the farm system outside of Mike Hessman is hitting worth a damn so far this year. Junior Arias went 2-4 with a ding dong and 2 RBI, but like 5 others in last night's starting lineup, he is still sporting a sub .160 batting average. Sadly, the pitching was not much better. Up Next: Ismael Guillon faces off against the Captains at 6:30 PM ET.
