We're trying something a little new with tonight's threads. This is not the game thread, there'll be another thread for game time. I promise. This will help keep the game thread loading smoothly (since we've had some complaints about that) and help joshuar get all of his predictions in one place. If you're entering tonight's prediction contest, do it here.
It's hard to put into words how much effect one win can have to brighten up your spirits after a tough road trip. Gone is the doom and gloom atmosphere surrounding Redsland, and replaced with a much more reasoned and level-headed fanhood. To lose the lead late, and then come back and defeat a Cliff Lee team? Huge.
Tonight the Reds face Kyle Kendrick, which on paper, is a pitcher they won't have much trouble with. Kendrick has a 5.00 ERA in 6 starts against the Reds, and a 5.71 ERA in 3 starts at GABP. I like this.
The Reds counter with Homer Bailey, who could use a good outing himself. Xavier Paul is the only other change, who takes over for slumping Chris Heisey in LF tonight
Thanks to Bronson's effort last night, the pen looks pretty well-rested. No word on if LeCure will be available, but if he isn't, they should still be okay with the extra arm there tonight in Freeman.
