On his fourth call-up, Todd Redmond will make his major league debut. (There have been two with the Reds this season, but according to reds.com, he's been up three times.) I don't know if that's a record, but it would be pretty impressive to set a major league record before even playing a major league game. At this point, Todd may just saunter out to the bullpen and zone out, by force of habit.
But if I were Todd Redmond, I would leave nothing to chance and personally turn in the lineup card myself, then hangout by the mound flashing puppy-dog eyes and possibly also physically anchored to it. It's best to be on the lookout for any "Lucy pulling the football" moments: Dusty changing his mind, late-scratch blister-inducing situations and flash flooding.
Go Reds!
