In 2011, Charlie Morton made a strong bid to join the pantheon of greatness we refer to around here as the Tomo Ohka All Stars. After tossing two complete games against the Reds, Morton was 3-0 last year against our boys with an ERA of .93 while holding the Reds to a team batting average of .198. With numbers like that, even Paul Byrd would blush in comparison.
The Reds will counter Charlie Morton today with Mat Latos, who should be happy that it is no longer April. Backing Latos will be a lineup including Heisey, Frazier and Hanigan in addition to our normal cast of characters. Evidently, Dusty is serious about taking this rubber game and leaving Pittsburgh with two wins under the belt.
Will Mat Latos' April Showers spring some May flowers?
Will Charlie Morton rekindle the "NEED MOAR BATZ" movement?
How clutch will Scott Rolen's inevitable pinch hit at-bat be this afternoon?
Why did my head hurt so much when I woke up this morning?
Go Reds! Imma hang up and listen.
