Farmers Only: Billy Quix nabs number 55

  • Louisville lost 2-1 to Syracuse. Brett Tomko started the game and gave up 2 runs in 6 2/3 innings, but couldn't outduel former Nats OD started John Lannan, who just started a game against Brett Tomko in AAA. Baseball is crazy. Cody Puckett was 2-for-3 and Tomko drove in the Bats' only run. Up next: Pedro Villarreal takes the hill at 7:05.
  • Pensacola outslugged Jackson 7-3, but worked off of a great pitching performance. Kyle Lotzkar started and pitched 6 innings of 2-run ball, with 8 strikeouts and no walks. This is by far the best control he's shown since getting to AA. Mark Fleury was 2-for-4 with 2 RBI and P.J. Phillips had two hits of his own. Up next: Daniel Corcino takes on Jackson at 8:05.
  • Bakersfield beat San Jose 7-5. Billy Hamilton stole a base to bring his total to 55 on the year. It is still May. Dominic D'Anna and Juan Duran had two hits each. Justice French got knocked around in his start, but Pat Doyle and Jamie Walczak only allowed one combined baserunner in 5 1/3 innings of relief work. Up next: Dan Renken gets SJ at 3:35 ET.
  • Dayton won 9-6 against South Bend. Kurtis Muller homered, and he and Joe Terry had 2 hits each. Rowdy Radhames Quezada struck out 8 in 5 innings to earn his 2nd win of the season, only giving up 1 run. Up next: South Bend, 7 PM, Tanner Robles, be there.
