We just caught a whiff of the Future last night, so that should put us in a forward-looking mood. Below is the ballot for predicting the 2012 season. Put your predictions in the thread (only the comment with the latest date will be counted, but nothing after midnight tomorrow.) I wanted to give it a little more time and I don't think one regular season game, even if it is Opening Day, will give anyone too much of an edge.
Last year predictions were highly optimistic, which reflected some homerism, but also the very real fact that the Reds' had just won the NL Central the previous season. This year, I think there are real-er reasons to think they'll contend through October. But I doubt I have very much perspective on it right now.
I forgot to specify this on the 2011 ballot, but you should predict the exact totals/rates in each individual, statistical category if you like (average leader's average, HR leader's HRs, etc.) They'll give you bonus points if you're one of the three closest to the actual total.
For turning in the best picks last season, The C won an actual prize. Maybe you can too, even if you have to buy it yourself.
