I've got a lot of "DISAPPOINTMENT" boxes ticked on my starting pitcher checklist for this season. But, as GlennBragsSAMBB reminds us today, possibly the Reds' (and much of this site's) most lusted-after deadline starter has had a dissappointing second half in Cleveland. Despite Ubaldo's more favorable peripherals and upside over the rest of his contract, 2012 was probably just hosed for the Reds from a starting pitching standpoint.

Baseball is a mysterious enough game that the Reds' pitching could be vastly improved next season without much offseason movement. And Bronson could throw another complete game today. It's not a strategy - but it is a possibility.

Lineups after the jump.
