According to Jon Heyman on Twitter, Hernandez was claimed off waivers by an unknown team. The Reds pulled him back, meaning he will not be traded this season as he cannot be put on waivers again. It's a decent bet the claimers were the Giants, as they're the only remaining contending team in desperate need of a catcher - and there are no NL teams with a compelling interest in blocking them which are also ahead of them in the waiver order. As the MLBTR link above points out, Hernandez projects as a Type A free agent, so the Reds could either be banking for a better return in compensation picks if they offer arbitration after the season or might be somehow be entertaining the probably-wrong idea of retaining his services for 2012.
