Welcome back, everyone. The Reds probably could have used some of those off days in May and June. Oh well. I had a very precise memory wipe performed yesterday, so I don't remember the first half anyway. Only two games below .500? It's a brand new season and I think it's very sporting of the team to spot the Cardinals 4 games.

Let's get on with it. Cueto vs. Westbrook at home is a very nice way to start the second half. Yes, they're playing the Cardinals, a good baseball team. But also, they're playing the Cardinals. It's time to rise again and savor the momentary rivalry. If that's not enough to get everyone's juices flowing, there's twin Enthusiasm Engines in the dugout now in BP and D-Train. And the Reds offense knows the apology cake they baked for Cueto after handing him a complete game loss last start against the Cardinals - a start in which, weirdly, Cueto had no strikeouts - is not going to cut it. Cueto is getting Haranged a little bit lately and really the only thing he can do by himself, maybe, is miss some more bats.

Go Reds, I mean it!
