UPDATE: NL wins, 5-1. Reds All Stars went 0-6 with 4 Ks. One of them did that Looney Tunes thing where you strike out on one pitch and corkscrew into the ground. But they made some fine defensive plays and didn't get injured as far as we know.
Scott Rolen, taking over for the injured Chipper Jones and batting 9th, has bizarrely become the Reds' lone All Star starter despite being less deserving to make the roster than seven or eight of his own teammates. This may well be Rolen's final All Star appearance, so let's hope it gives him a little more black ink to seal his Hall of Fame case.
I was hoping Ramon Hernandez would make the team, but I'm OK with him staying out of that crouch for at least four days. Cueto was also worthy, in my opinion, but I'm even more OK with having every Reds pitcher take a solid break.
