- Louisville had the night off. Tonight they play at 7:05, and Scott Carroll gets the start.
- Carolina lost 8-1. Daryl Thompson had a bit of an unlucky start. He lasted 5.2 innings and struck out 7. He allowed 4 runs, but just one was earned as the Mudcats committed a whopping 4 errors. Nick Christiani added to the pain with his first bad outing of the year. He only went 1/3 of an inning and gave up 4 runs. Offensively the situation was just as bad as the team only mustered 5 hits. Two were by recent acquisition Quintin Berry, who went 2-3 with a walk. Up Next: Travis Webb gets the start at 7:15.

Bakersfield poured on the hits again, beating Lake Elsinore 11-6. Every starter had at least 1 hit, and only two starters failed to record multiple hits. Still, in another oddity, the team racked up 19 hits but only 3 were for extra bases--all doubles. That's what you call BABIPing the other team to death. The star of the show was Ryan LaMarre who went 4-5 with a stolen base. Up Next: Curtis Partch takes the hill at 10:05
- Dayton lost 4-1. Josh Smith wins the award for oddest line of the day: 5 IP, 8 K, 1 BB, 9 H, 3 ER. That's also what you call getting BABIP'd to death. The opposing team was 8-15 on balls in play against him. This offensive performance was sort of Bakersfield-lite. All starters but 3 got a hit, but no one got multiple hits, and there was only 1 XBH. Billy Hamilton reached three times (1-2, 2 BB) and stole his 20th base of the year. Up Next: Daniel Corcino starts at 7:00.
