- Louisville won 8-3. Johnny Cueto was much improved this time around, lasting only 4.2 innings but striking out 3, walking none, and allowing no runs. Fred Lewis had a big night, going 3-3 with a HR, 2 walks, and 3 RBI. Zack Cozart was 2-4 with a walk, Daniel Dorn and Kris Negron each had 2 hits, and Dave Sappelt was 1-2 with 3 walks. Up Next: Matt Maloney tries to hold back tears as he takes the hill at 6:35.
- Carolina lost 10-6. Lee Tabor took the loss after giving up 4 runs in the top of the 9th. Dallas Buck had a better start, lasting 5.1 innings, giving up 2 ER (4 total), striking out 6 and walking just 1. Miguel Rojas and Cody Puckett each had 2 hits. Up Next: Matt Klinker will get the start at 7:15.
- Bakersfield won 6-5. J.C. Sulbaran was decent, lasting 5 IP and giving up 2 ER while striking out 5. Josh Fellhauer and Eric Campbell each had 2 hits, including a double, but once again the story was the well-rounded offensive team performance. Every starter had at least one hit. Up Next: Someone will start at 10:15.
- Dayton won 7-3. Every single Dragons position player had a hit EXCEPT Billy Hamilton (he did walk once) That's significant because Hamilton still managed to steal 2 bases, bringing his yearly total to 16. Even more amazing is that of the 8 players with hits, 7 of them had doubles. The one player who didn't double, Jaren Matthews, homered. Another truly well-rounded offensive performance. Tanner Robles got the win, giving up 2 ER in 5 IP. Up Next: Daniel Tuttle takes the hill at 7:00.
