This is the last game of the Spring Training season. After this last exhibition, the Reds will take off their training pants, pull on their big boy pants, and board a plane bound for the fair Queen City. They saved this last dance for the Indians, their roommates at Goodyear and cross-state frienemies. By this time, I'm sure they are just as fed up with these dry runs as you are. We are all ready for some baseball-for-realsies.

Bronson Arroyo will take the hill as he tries to fight off the effects of mono. A long, steady, uneventful outing from him today will go a long way to assuage very real doubts and fears many of us have about his ability to work through this infection. Speaking of ailing hurlers, Johnny Cueto began throwing again yesterday. If things go as planned, he'll only miss two turns through the rotation.

Some good news from Indians camp, as former Reds farmhand and top pitching prospect (not joking) Justin Germano has made the team. He earned one of the final spots in a spotty bullpen. Germano is one of four non-roster invites who will break camp with the Indians, who are obviously in the throes of a full-on rebuild. They serve as a stark contrast to our Redlegs, who had their roster all but set going into camp and are the prohibitive favorites to win the division. Duality springs eternal.
