March Maelstorm ("Madness" and "Mayhem" are trademarked) continues with another split-squad to double our pleasure. In fact, teams from the Greater Cincinnati area are fanning out to play teams from Connecticut, West Virginia, Arizona and Colorado. I'm predicting a clean sweep. To aid in this effort to fulfill my prophecy, twin enfants terribles Travis Wood and Johnny Cueto take the mound. Cueto is looking to put his injury scare fully behind him, after eight days of rest, so his goal is likely to get through a mini-start without incident. Travis Wood, on the other hand, is still making his pitch to secure a spot in the rotation. We may see two very different approaches by both pitchers, with Cueto on a shorter hook. Baker is staying in Goodyear to watch the home team. I'll be staying at home to watch the good team (The Richmond Spiders, natch).
