Another minor league season is in the books for Reds fans. After winning two and losing two, the Louisville Bats played a pivotal game 5 in Durham to complete their series, losing 4-2. It was mostly a bullpen game, as Jeremy Horst started and only went 4 innings. He gave up 2 unearned runs, struck out 4, and walked 4. Micah Owings and Danny Ray Herrera each gave up a run in 2 and 1 2/3 innings respectively. Kris Negron drove in both Louisville runs, and Zack Cozart and Wladimir Balentien contributed to that Bats' 5 measly hits. Making matters worse, the Bats fell at the hands of former Red Bobby Livingston. Shouldn't have let him go, I guess.
