This is a tough game for the Reds. Matt Cain has owned our boys the last two times he's faced them, pitching 17 innings and allowing just one run. He's also been especially tough at home, posting a 2.62 ERA over 12 starts there this year. AT&T Park is not very homer friendly, so despite being a fly ball pitcher, Cain does very well at home.
The good news is that the park will also play into Edinson Volquez's favor too. If he can keep from putting people on base for free, he should do alright. Of course, that is a big if.
The Reds have already clinched a winning road trip, but it'd be awesome to see if they can pull off a 7-2 trip. The fastest way to get there is to win tonight. Those in favor, say aye!
Go Reds!
