A date you should know: July 28, 2005. Don't recognize it? That's the last time the Reds won a game in Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers have beat the Reds twelve straight times at home over the last four seasons. The last Reds pitcher to get a victory in Dodger Stadium was Brandon Claussen. I think it's about time for that streak to end, don't you?

I'll be honest, I haven't watched much of the west coast trip so far. I've developed a stupid summer cold that has knocked me out early in the action each night - Paul Keels doesn't help either. I'm kind of looking forward to the day game on Sunday so I can stick with the action, but until then, I'll muddle through.

Homer Bailey looked pretty sweet in his first start back last Sunday. I'm muting my expectations for tonight given how we saw a similar performance from Edinson Volquez in his first start back from injury too. However, it's nice to know that the Reds have someone like Bailey as a "fill-in." It's been said a lot the last couple of days, but the depth on this team really has been outstanding. I wouldn't have bought it before the season started, but it has definitely been one of the strengths of the team this year.

Anyway, beating the Dodgers is always fun, so let's keep the winning train going. I've grown accustomed to the Reds sweeping the competition. They'd best keep me happy.

Go Reds!
