Josh Johnson has been a beast this season, but he's also shown some cracks of late. Over his last 3 starts, his ERA is just 4.35. If it bleeds, we can kill it.

Speaking of Predator, Edinson Volquez will toe the rubber for the home team. It's surprising to me that Volquez has given up only 2 runs over his last 2 starts (11.2 IP). I guess that's because he's walked 9 while striking out only 8. This is the nature of the beast with Volquez. He's going to be wild, but hopefully he can still manage the game while he does it.

Rumor has it that in the 7th inning, when Paul Janish is supposed to come to bat, the Reds will play Hanley Ramirez's music over the PA system and the Reds will introduce their new shortstop. That's the rumor at least.

Tonight could be another tough one. Facing Johnson is not the salve for the Reds wounds, but given that it is Friday the 13th, expect strange things to happen. (cue Twilight Zone music)

Go Reds!
