- Louisville showed it could win any number of ways, beating Charlotte 2-0. Matt Maloney showed how it's done, lasting 7 shutout innings, allowing only 2 hits and striking out 5, lowering his ERA on the year to 2.91 (Trade bait?) - Carolina won a thriller 3-2. Matt Fairel had a great start, throwing 6 innings of 1 run ball, giving up 5 hits and 2 walks while striking out 6. Jesus Delgado did his best to show why wins are a meaningless stat, giving up the go-ahead run in the top of the 9th, but 'earning' the win when the Mudcats came back with 2 in the bottom of the inning. Blog favorite Dave Sappelt was 3-4 with his 8th homer, and Sean Henry was 2-4 with 2 doubles. Up Next: Matt Klinker is back in Carolina, and he'll start at 7:15.
- Lynchburg lost 9-8. Cody Puckett was 3-5 with a double and his 11th homer, Chris Richburg was 2-4 with a homer, and Neftali Soto hit his 16th homer on the season. Up Next: Jordan Hotchkiss starts at 7:00.
- Dayton lost 6-3. Henry Rodriguez was 2-4 with his 11th homer. He also stole 2 bases, giving him 22 on the season. Up Next: Blair Carson will start at 7:05.
- Billings won 6-3. Daniel Tuttle went 5, allowing 2 runs and striking out 4. Billy Hamilton was 3-5 with a stolen base, and Juan Duran was 3-5 with his 3rd homer.
