As of 3pm today, Johnny Cueto is still the scheduled starter for tonight's matchup. If he does start, this will be the 5th time in his last 7 starts against the Astros that he's faced up against Roy Oswalt. Cueto has had some troubles in the match ups in the past, though the last time these two faced it was a heck of a pitchers' duel with both pitchers allowing only one run over seven innings before the Astros won it in the ninth on a Cordero implosion.
Though Oswalt has historically dominated the Reds, the good guys have already beaten the right-hander once this year and the Reds have won four of the last five meetings with the Astros' ace. He's not as invincible as he once was, though he's also not as bad as some people seem to think he has become.
It's hot as hell in the Queen City tonight. Sounds like a good night to stay in and watch some baseball.
Go Reds!
