Probably the worst thing about last night's loss is that the Reds have to wake up and face Roy Halladay today. Them's the breaks though and you gotta deal with the hand that is dealt to you. Travis Wood has been solid in two starts so far, and I think he's up to the challenge of shaking off the stink of last night and putting the Reds back on the winning track.
This team has been resilient all year. You don't get 10 games over .500 without being able to shake off the tough losses. Obviously they have some issues to deal with. That's something we've known for a while. Time will tell if Jocketty and his crew can put together something to fix the shaky bullpen. Until then, the team has to make due with who they've got. And as bad as we all feel Cordero has been, he's still gotten the job done more often than not. CoCo Cordero - 80% of the time, he works every time. Until the Reds can get someone to replace him (unlikely), I suggest seeing your doctor about any possible heart ailments you might be facing or have in your family history.
Just keep in mind, it was only a week or so ago that the Reds beat Halladay. These guys have a way of surprising us. Hopefully tonight will just be another one of those good surprises!
Go Reds!
