Remember when, at the start of the season, Dusty Baker split up Aaron Harang and Bronson Arroyo because they were the innings eaters? Maybe he should that now with Mike Leake and Bronson Arroyo. Having those two guys back-to-back is a good rest for the bullpen, but what about the other 3 days?

By the way, there is going to be an article in the Enquirer tomorrow talking about how awesome Mike Leake is. Seriously, it will compare him to Greg Maddux and everything. Hopefully he doesn't do anything today to make that article look silly.

Speaking of looking silly, the Reds didn't much look like a first place team last night. They've mainly avoided mental errors over their last month of quality play. They've also been able to get timely hits and quality starting pitching in that stretch. None of that happened last night. Was it an aberration? I suppose we'll start to find out tonight. Luis Atilano has a good record, but that's about it. He shouldn't be hard to get to. And with Leake on the mound, this should be a game the Reds can take.

Go Reds! They're my (second) favorite wine!
