Today is the real test. I hate losing as much as anyone, but if you are going to get shut down by Cliff Lee and Felix Hernandez, all you really can do is tip your hat and hope to get them next time. It's when you face beatable pitchers that you have to come through with the wins. The Reds have been doing that for the majority of this season. We'll find out what they are made of today, I believe. If the offense is stymied once again, this season could get ugly real fast. If they come out and put 5+ runs on the board, well then they are who we thought they were.

On the other side, Aaron Harang CANNOT suck today. He doesn't have to be perfect, but with the way the offense has been sputtering, the Reds can't afford to have Harang struggle out of the gate. We need at least a quality start, if not 7+ innings. There was a time when Harang was the pitcher that could come through to stop the bleeding. We need that pitcher one more time today.

This is definitely becoming a low point in the season, but we knew these guys weren't going to be infallible all year. They need to fight through the suck and hopefully pick themselves back up quickly. They're not a great team, but they've shown that they are good enough to win when their backs are against the wall. Time to pull another one out of their bag of tricks again.

Go Reds! They're my father's favorite team!
