It's a rubber match today, both for this current series and the historical match-up between these two teams, which stands at an 8-8 tie. The pitching match-up looks like a mismatch on paper. I mean, Zack Greinke is just 1-8. No way this no-name can compete with Sam LeCure and his 3.12 ERA!

LeCure has had some success in his 3 big league starts despite posting just a 1-2 record. Unfortunately for him, he's been stuck facing off against some of the best pitchers in the league, and the Reds haven't been able to give him much run support in return for his efforts. Thankfully, at 1-8, this Greinke character is clearly not a very good pitcher. It's not like he's facing a former Cy Young award winner or anything, like when he went up against Chris Carpenter two starts ago.

Greinke has struggled over his last 4 starts, posting a 7.97 ERA and a .927 OPS against in his four straight losses. Teams are hitting a mere .355 off of the right-hander in that stretch. I like Greinke and root for him, but I wouldn't mind if he waits just one more game to get it back together.

Last night was a fun game, with the big bats bashing. Let's see more of the same today!

Go Reds! They're my favorite team!
