- Louisville won 3-2 behind a very strong start from Matt Maloney. My Bologna pitched 7 innings, allowing 2 unearned runs on 5 hits and 2 walks, while striking out 6. Zack Cozart was 2-5 with a double, Drew Sutton was 2-4 with a walk, and Todd Frazier was 2-4 with a double. Hopefully Frazier is turning his season around. His average is up to .223 on the year after a horrible start. Up Next: Matt Klinker starts at 7:05.
- Carolina was rained out. Up Next: Matt Fairel takes the hill at 7:15.
- Lynchburg beat Salem 6-2 behind Brad Boxberger's best start as a pro. Boxy Brown allowed just 1 run in 7 innings, striking out 5 and walking none. Donnie Joseph pitched 1 2/3 innings for the save. In 8 1/3 innings in Lynchburg, Joseph has 15 strikeouts to only 3 walks. Wonder if he could help out the Reds bullpen? Cody Puckett was 2-5 with a double, and Alex Buchholz was 2-3 with his 5th homer. Neftali Soto got the start at 1B. That means he's now played 3B, 1B, LF, RF, and C for the Reds organization? Next Todd Frazier, or just a kid without a position? Up Next: Mark Serrano starts at 7:05.
- Dayton lost 8-4. JC Sulbaran had another rough outing, only lasting 4 innings. He only gave up 2 runs, but he walked 5. Josh Garton was 2-4, and Cameron Satterwhite was 3-4 with 2 doubles. Up Next: Justin Walker starts at 8:00.
