- The Bats were off yesterday. Matt Maloney will take the hill against Rochester at 7:05 tonight.
- Carolina beat Chattanooga 3-0 behind another good start by their stopper, starter Matt Klinker. Klinker pitched 6 shutout innings, only giving up 4 hits and no walks while striking out 7 hitters. Joe Krebs, Ruben Medina, and Jordan Smith combined to give up 1 hit in 3 relief innings. Props, fellas. Denis Phipps and Chris Denove had 2 hits each to lead the offense, and Klinker helped his own cause by driving in a run. Up next: Dallas Buck takes on 'Nooga at 7:15.
- Lynchburg rallied in the 9th to beat Kinston 3-2. The Hillcats were down 2-0 going into the 9th, but the game was tied up by a Justin Reed 2-run homer, and Alex Buchholz was the hero, driving in the winning run. Matt Fairel had a decent ounting, going 6 innings of 2-run ball, and Lance Janke pitched 3 hitless innings of relief to earn the win. Up next: Scott Carroll takes on Kinston at 6:05.
- Dayton's game against Lake County was suspended at 0-0 after 3 innings. Pedro Villarreal is the current pitcher for the Dragons, and has yet to give up a hit. Unfortunately, the Dragons don't have a hit yet, either. They'll resume the game tonight at 5:30, and J.C. Sulbaran will take on the Captains after that.
