I think we can safely say that loss in Atlanta had no ill effects on this Reds team. Yes, we've still got concerns about CoCo's ability to close out he game in the 9th, but the team as a whole seems to have gotten over that ridiculous loss on Thrusday very nicely. Offensively, they are still rolling, averaging 5.3 runs per game over the last 25 games. While the bullpen has struggled a bit of late, the starting rotation has been great, allowing just 3.44 runs per 9 IP over the 25-game stretch. And now the Reds are back in first place once again after the Cardinals lost yesterday.

Things are looking good for the Reds right now, but I know we all would like them a lot better if they swept the Indians. If the Reds can keep beating the teams they are supposed to beat and play .500 against the rest, we might end up with a pretty good season in the Queen City.

Homer Bailey has been very good in his last two starts against the Pirates and Brewers. Another solid outing today will likely get his ERA under 5.00 for the first time this year. If the Reds can get him a few runs in the process, maybe he can get his second win of the season finally.

The game is on TV today! Fox isn't out to ruin your entire weekend.

Go Reds! They're my favorite team!
