Coming off a one-hit shutout against the Pirates, Johnny Cueto has to be brimming with confidence - though that brim is likely cocked a little to the side. Now that they are in first place (have you heard?), the Reds team has to be brimming with confidence. With the Milwaukee Brewers coming to town on a six-game losing streak, Reds fans have to be brimming with confidence.

Enough with the brimming!

The only thing harder than getting into first place is staying there. The Reds have been in first place twice over the last two seasons, both for one day. Now is not the time for celebration. Now is the time for wins, and lots of them. We're not even a quarter of the way through the season. It's okay to be excited and proud, but keep winning. You gotta stay on your toes. Don't be the hare and run off and rest under the tree when you get the lead. Be the tortoise and pace yourself to the finish.

The Reds are adamant that the game will be dry tonight. I have no choice but to believe them. Have they ever steered us wrong? Yovanni Gallardo is a tough cookie to face, but that's probably a good thing. It'll be a reminder that even teams that are struggling require focus to be beaten.

Tonight begins the trek to build up the lead! Go Reds! They're my favorite team!
