Less than twelve hours after the last game finished up, it's time to play another. This one involves two starters with ugly-looking stat lines so far this season. Lohse is mainly feeling the effects of a disastrous 3 inning, 7 ER outing against the Diamondbacks. Homer has at least shown signs of improvement and he looks to build on his last start, when he went six innings for the first time this season, allowing 4 ER.
Relief pitching could be a major issue this series. Dusty burned through five relievers for innings six through nine this morning. Cordero pitched in his fourth straight game (and fifth game in six days).
Oh, and the Reds probably don't want to pitch to Albert Pujols too much. Insight!
